Sting-Guard
Still suffering the stings and arrows of misfortune when you go diving? If there is man-eating plankton in the water, any part of you that's unclad can be affected. Even if you wear a hood, the area around the upper lip, chin and cheeks can suffer irritating stings from juvenile jellyfish and the like. One answer is to grow a beard, but if that's not possible this novel neoprene Sting-Guard does the job. Worn over your hood, it has a hole for the regulator mouthpiece to pass through and it also protects against that sudden icy feeling you get when submerging in cold water. £10

  • Poseidon ThreeDee Mask
This new mask is unique to Poseidon. The frame is made from ultra-lightweight polymer and its strap-buckles swivel through 45¡ for what Poseidon says is easy, comfortable fitting. In a world in which so many masks come from a single source and are simply badge-engineered, it's nice to have something different. Finished in a choice of combinations of metallic and matt colours, ThreeDee masks cost £31

  • Delta P VR2/VR3 Colour Screen
An option now available for both VR2 and VR3 computers is a coloured screen display. It's said to make the screen eminently more readable, especially for those with tired old eyes! Each computer is available in a variety of configurations, and the retail price reflects the varying specifications. The VR2 is available from £523 and the VR3 from £733 - in each case the colourful display adds £198 on top of that.

  • Mask-saver
This Flex-o-buckle mask-saver with neoprene pad from Thailand allows you to unclip your mask instantly and attach it via its separate clip to your BC. • Beaver Emergency Mask Pouch
What would you do if you lost the use of your mask while under water? Panic? Not if you're carrying a spare one, and this emergency mask pocket is designed so that you can carry a spare such as the Beaver Atomic frameless mask, and similar types, securely clipped to your rig. £5.95

  • Power Tank Pen
