O'Three RI 2/500 First impressions A very substantial suit, made to a high standard and with lots of attention to detail. Every suit is customised to the individual's requirements. Price £725 (includes bag, hose and hood). Material and construction Made from 2mm high-density compressed neoprene with a resin-impregnated outer lining. Very neat stitching, glued and neoprene-taped on the inside of the seams. Boots Wide-fitting boots with a reasonable tread. Lined with neoprene inside to the fully moulded neoprene soles. Zip The heavy-duty zip is fitted to the suit by glueing and stitching "the way I would want", said our tester, with double stitching and piping. There is a large inner comfort flap. Seals The neoprene neck seal is glued and taped on both sides to the body of the suit. The standard conical latex wrist seals are taped only on the outside of the cuff. Wrist seal contact length 25mm. Knee pads Neoprene stitched and glued. Valves A low-profile Apeks inflator valve with a neoprene comfort pad, and an Apeks auto-dump valve at the shoulder with a comfort pad. Both valves are set on big rubber gaskets. Other features A quite sizeable zipped pocket at the thigh. The knife pocket, complete with a knife and sheath, has a fixed D-ring included. The shoulder pads are stitched and glued. There are reflective patches on one shoulder. The braces are securely fitted to the suit by neoprene reinforcing pads. Ease of dressing "I am looking forward to trying this! It feels very pleasant." In the water "The most comfortable suit I have worn in 20 years of diving. This will probably be the next suit I buy." Approximate weight of test suit 4kg. Made-to-measure service Yes.
