Poseidon Jetsuit TNG First impressions A very sexy-looking suit with an extremely high standard of finish. Every member of the test team wished they had had a chance to wear it. Price £474 (includes hood, hose and a good-quality bag). Material and construction Neoprene fabric that feels as smooth as silk both inside and out. Exceptionally well made, with very good stitching and glueing throughout. Boots Soft-sole boots, rubber-dipped at the end of the neoprene sock. We doubted if the soles would last long with harsh use. However, they are very nicely made. Zip The high-quality zip has an excellent inner liner that butts together once the zip is fastened. Seals The smooth-skin neoprene wrist seals are inverted when in use and have an additional neoprene cuff cover. The neoprene neck seal is inverted when in use to put the smooth-skin in contact with the diver's neck. Wrist seal contact length 40mm. Knee pads The hard-wearing, dimpled knee pads feel very smooth and will glide over obstructions rather than snagging. Valves Poseidon's own-make valves low-profile and beautifully manufactured. The inflation valve is mounted on a gasket at chest centre. There is a nice ratchet action on the auto-dump adjustment, but it is not neatly mounted on to its rubber gasket. Other features The smooth-skin of the hood seal integrates with the neck seal of the suit. Ease of dressing "Very comfortable and easy to get on and off, but care must be taken with the seals because of the covering cuffs." In the water "Easy to wear and very enjoyable, although as with any suit with comfortable neoprene seals I got a little damp around the wrists and neck. I could have done with a narrower neck seal."
