AXE FIND
A South African diving archaeologist is reported to have found a Stone Age axe in Cape Town's Table Bay.
Apparently anything from 300,000 to 1.4 million years old, the axe is thought to be one of the oldest-ever underwater finds.
The archaeologist is reported to have been investigating a 17th century wreck when he came across the axe. In sediment close by also lay the fossilised remains of rhino bones.
