POLICE HUNT

Police seek diver and young son
Hampshire detectives are appealing for help in tracking down a father who has absconded with his 15-month-old son. And they are asking divers to report any sightings of Simon Jason Price, 34, from Havant. Price is known to be a keen sports diver, although he does not belong, to the police's knowledge, to any diving organisation.
Price was last seen on 3 August, when he disappeared with son Simon Terry Price after visiting his estranged wife in Havant to take the youngster out. Price senior is described as white, 5ft 11in tall, with short, dark auburn, receding hair and a distinctive mole on his right cheek. Price junior is described as white, blond and last seen wearing a white T-shirt and white-striped dungarees.
The pair could be travelling in an unreturned white Renault Master hire van, W945 MDC, with Thrifty Car Rental painted in blue down its sides; or in Price's red Vauxhall Cavalier, H906 EWD, which has not been traced.
Police say their prime concern is for the welfare of the child, and urge the father to contact officers, family or friends to confirm that both are safe and well. Divers who think they might have seen the pair should ring 0845 045 45 45 and ask for Havant Police.
