A special one-day course, Underwater Archaeology will be run on November 17 by the National Maritime Museum's Open Museum department.
The museum, at Greenwich, London SE10, fields some big hitters in the world of nautical archaeology - and you'll have the chance to interact with them, even collar them with questions you may harbour!
Martin Dean, of the Government's Archaeological Diving Unit, will speak on the factors involved in assessing the importance of wreck sites in UK waters.
Jonathan Adams, of the University of Southampton, will describe a range of historic wreck investigations, from tropical seas to the Baltic.
Dr Peter Marsden, of the Shipwreck Heritage Centre, will outline the main aims of historic wreck investigation.
And Alan Aberg, of the Society for Nautical Research, will speak on the hidden legacies represented by maritime wrecks.
Interested? The course fee is £28 (concessions £16), and details are available by phoning the National Maritime Museum's Open Museum section on 020 8312 6747.
