RED SEA CLAIMS FISHING VESSEL
The Egyptian navy is still searching for more than 30 fishermen after their vessel Abu el-Fawares sank in the Strait of Gubal, 40 miles north of Hurghada.
Two of the crew were rescued by another fishing boat and are being questioned by the police. No distress signals were received from the boat prior to sinking, and there appears to be no explanation for the cause of the accident. Her position is to the north of the region's popular wrecks the Carnatic and Ghiannis D.
