MEDICAL SYMPOSIUM
The Eighth Symposium on Advances in Sport Diving Medicine runs at Reading University from 15-16 September. It is intended for diving doctors and other divers interested in diving medicine.
The symposium is held every four or five years. This time, speakers include Surgeon Cmdr Peter Benton on "Hypercapnia, a Possible Cause of Diving Fatalities"; Prof Alf Brubakk on "A New Approach to Decompression"; Dr Nick McIver on "Diving Medical Lessons Learned over 28 Years"; Dr Richard Moon on "Physiological Factors Predisposing to Decompression Illness"; and Dr Valerie Flook on "Predicting Decompression Problems".
