TRY-DIVE SUCCESS
The British Sub-Aqua Club has declared itself delighted with the response to its Learn to Dive campaign, run in late August.
The club says that 285 branches took part all over the country, advertising the campaign in their areas and providing pool-based try-dives to the public in a bid to attract new BSAC members.
The club, based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, is confident that once it has totted up the number of people who took part, it will find that between 3000 and 3500 potential divers passed through the hands of BSAC instructors around the land during Learn to Dive week.
The BSAC will now be keeping its fingers crossed that a fair proportion elect to take their scuba experiences further, and join the club.
