International friendship for BSAC branches
English and Mauritius branches of the British Sub-Aqua Club have officially twinned, in what is thought to be the first such move involving scuba groups.

London's Holborn BSAC has twinned with Mauritius Underwater Group (MUG) BSAC, in a gesture of international friendship and mutual respect between divers.
In practice, the arrangement will mean that members of the two dive clubs will be welcome to visit their twinned counterparts and dive and socialise as though they belong to the twinned branch.
The idea emerged earlier this year when representatives of the two BSAC branches met to discuss possible ways of collaborating. Two identical brass plaques celebrating the twinning have been made for display at Holborn's WC2 Oasis pool meeting place and at MUG's clubhouse.
The clubs' first collaborative diving looks set to be a visit by Holborn divers to Mauritius, with activities to include a joint underwater photography workshop.
