Diver's body found off Plymouth by fishermen
The body of a diver was recovered by fishermen on Monday 21 June, 7 miles from Plymouth. It is believed to be that of technical diver Adam Krol, lost off the wreck of the Charlwood in May 2002.
Devon police are investigating the find of a diver's body. Identification has been hampered by the fact that the body had clearly been in the water for some considerable time.
The body was found reasonably close to the site of the Charlwood - known locally as the glass wreck - where the 41-year-old trimix diver was lost in May 2002. He was diving with twin cylinders and stages when he went missing at the end of the wreck dive.
The Plymouth coroner, Nigel Meadows, is carrying out a post mortem to try to determine the cause of death. The police have yet to confirm the diver's identity.
