'Barbie lobster' charms her way out of the pot
Divers and fishermen hunting for lobsters in the waters off Maine, USA have fallen for the charms of
a lobster dressed in pink high heels, blue top and red and white checkered skirt.
'Barbie lobster' was the creation of fishermen Jim Bright and Chris Costello, after they
decided that dressing up a lobster in one of Barbie's outfits would keep them amused. They had to
find a suitably sized specimen to fit into the outfit, but once 'Barbie lobster had been created, she
soon became a cult figure.
Every time the lobster was caught, divers and fishermen would call each other up to report the sighting,
and Barbie Lobster was released to provide further entertainment. Not exactly renowned for intellect,
Barbie Lobster has managed to find her way into lobster pots at least a dozen times.
If it's
possible for a lobster to be blonde, Bright and Costello must have made an insightful selection.
