Diving gets Xtreme sandwiching
Forget extreme underwater ironing, the next challenge for adventurous divers is Xtreme sandwiching.
The Xtreme sandwiching competition has attracted plenty of water-related entries,
as the winning shot of the 2003 competition taken by Simon Robinson (shown here) demonstrates.
Competitors enter photographs of themselves, sandwich in hand or mouth, in a suitably extreme situation.
The event borrows upon the popularity of extreme ironing, which attracted a large number of diving participants.
Diver Angela Bird took up the Xtreme sandwiching challenge in UK waters by munching on a Marmite sarnie
in the inky depths below Swanage pier. Fair play to you Angela - that's the spirit!
