Stoney Cove prepares for splash in
Underwater photographers and divers who just fancy a go can pit their wits against the elements in a
special one day 'Splash In' competition at the popular inland dive site on Saturday 20 November.
Stoney Cove dive site near Leicester is hosting the annual Splash-In photographic competition, designed to engage everybody from experts to complete newbies.
Entrants pay a £5 fee, and receive a 36-explosure slide film which must be handed back in by the end of the day - ensuring that the
photos are all taken on the same day, under the same conditions.
Digital cameras are allowed, but must be checked by the organisers beforehand, and images downloaded
immediately after the dive.
Novice photographers can turn up and borrow an easy-to-use Bonica underwater camera,
and their photos are entered into a separate category for prizes, providing a fair competition against other novices.
DIVER magazine will be in attendance from the Splash In marquee, dispensing free hot drinks and complimentary magazines.
The competition has become a regular fixture in the Stoney Cove calendar, providing experts and budding photographers alike with a
challenging environment and a great level playing field for their shots.
Pre-register or simply turn up on the day. Stoney Cove
can be contacted by email: diving@stoneycove.com or Tel: 01455 273089
